چکیده
We report measurements of the solubility hydrogen in pure water and sodium chloride brine molality 2.5 mol/kg at temperatures between 323.15 K 423.15 pressures up to about 40 MPa. The estimated expanded relative uncertainty given temperature pressure is 3%, with a coverage factor 2. new results, together data from literature for brine, are used construct simple model predict brines as function temperature, salt molality.

Synthesis of sodium polyhydrides at high pressures
The only known compound of sodium and hydrogen is archetypal ionic NaH. Application of high pressure is known to promote states with higher atomic coordination, but extensive searches for polyhydrides with unusual stoichiometry have had only limited success in spite of several theoretical predictions. Here we report the first observation of the formation of polyhydrides of Na (NaH3 and NaH7) ab...
متن کاملSolubility Limits of Major Salts in Sodium Chloride Solutions
The solubility limit data of salts are typically measured in distilled water and not in saline or salt-laden solutions. So, the current study was initiated to measure the solubility limit of major salts in different concentration of NaCl solutions and was compared to the solubility limit of the same salt to that in real seawater solution. A major finding from the experimental results was that t...
متن کاملThe solubility of calf thymus chromatin in sodium chloride.
The solubility of calf thymus chromatin and chromatin depleted of F1-histone has been examined under various conditions in sodium chloride. F1-depleted DNH was more soluble than native DNH at low concentrations but this difference became small at high concentrations (1mg/ml). Both exhibited minimum solubility in 0.15M -NaCl. The effect of pH and of maleylation of the mino acid side chains on th...
متن کاملHydrogen solubility in amorphous silica at pressures up to 75 kbar.
The solubility of hydrogen in amorphous silica at a temperature of 250 °C and pressures up to 75 kbar is studied using a quenching technique. The molar ratio H(2)/SiO(2) is found to linearly increase with pressure from X = 0.16 at P = 6 kbar to X = 0.53 at P = 75 kbar. An investigation of a sample with X = 0.47 by Raman spectroscopy demonstrated that hydrogen dissolves in silica in the form of ...
متن کاملPredicted reentrant melting of dense hydrogen at ultra-high pressures
The phase diagram of hydrogen is one of the most important challenges in high-pressure physics and astrophysics. Especially, the melting of dense hydrogen is complicated by dimer dissociation, metallization and nuclear quantum effect of protons, which together lead to a cold melting of dense hydrogen when above 500 GPa. Nonetheless, the variation of the melting curve at higher pressures is virt...
